There have been a lot of rumors that LostWinds get a sequel, but now there’s even more hints to a sequel on the WiiWare-title LostWinds. In an interview with Frontier, Cubed3 asked a few questions about their future plans and it sure looks like they’re planning a sequel for LostWinds. RMC from GoNintendo had some time to have a look at LostWinds for Nintendo’s WiiWare. He only needs two minutes to talk about Frontier’s first WiiWare-game. He’s very enthousiastic about the game and tells that everyone who hasn’t downloaded the game yet is missing a bunch of fun and Wii-experience!

Defend Your Castle is still selling like hot cupcakes, while other titles like LostWinds that get more gamer comments are ranked lower in the top 10 most downloaded WiiWare-games. Dr. Mario Online Rx doesn’t score bad, Family Table Tennis ended up on number ten in its first week.

David Braben, boss at Frontier, said in an interview with GamesIndustry that they were overwhelmed with the success of LostWinds for WiiWare. Reviews are extremely high and user reviews are very positive as well. It’s possible that they will port LostWinds to PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in the future. Since today, all Wii-users with an internet connection can download the WiiWare Channel for free! Just go to your Wii Shop Channel and start downloading the WiiWare Channel to get started. The Wii’s WiiWare Channel launched in the PAL areas with six games:

* Final Fantasy: My Life As A King (Square Enix)
* LostWinds (Frontier)
* Star Soldier R (Hudson)
* Toki Tori (Two Tribes)
* TV Show King (Gameloft)
